American Idol’s Chris Sligh was nominated for 2 Dove Awards: Song of the Year for “Empty Me” and Best New Artist of the Year. Mandisa was nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year. The 40th Annual Gospel Music Association Dove Awards will be held on April 23, 2009 in Nashville.
