After Kristy Lee Cook's performance, when Simon told her she's got a "country" voice, Kristy Lee said that she was a country girl at heart and that she'll "prove it next week if she's still there". Does this mean next week could be country week? I'd imagine it was going to be 80's week, so maybe she's just planning on singing a country song from the 80's? Or am I reading WAY too much into her comment?

I think that after last week's 60's week, Lythgoe leaked that this week was 70's (which it was) and next week was supposed to be 80's. I read that somewhere and I don't remember where, but it sounded like an official leak.

Jason Yeager confirmed in an interview w/ EW.com that the theme for next week is indeed the 80s. He said he was looking forward to the 90s theme and was planning to sing Boyz2Men. sthg that was not meant to be.

I recently read that the theme for this Tuesday is the British Invasion (1964-1967?)
If that’s the case, I think David would do a great job with either the Rolling Stones’ “Heart of Stone” or “19th Nervous Breakdown”! A lot of soul can be put into either of those songs and that IS David’s forte!
Any other song choice ideas? There should be a “song choice suggestion” blog on the American Idol site–or some place where the contestants could view them. Do you think they read or even have access to this blog or any others?
Curious for feedback.

I understand that this Tuesday is part II of songs from The Beatles catalogue. I don't know whether other British musical acts of that genre will be included as well. But, The Beatles will be the focus.

Yes, last Wednesday, SeaBreeze announced that due to popular demand (or some other such dribble) that they decided that they would use the Lennon-McCartney songbook for another week. And in David Hernandez American Idol Extra post-elimination interview, he mentioned it as well. He said that he would have loved to have sung "Yesterday" this week if he had not been eliminated.
Apparently, they've moved back the original theme of this week to next week. It was purported to be the top-100 songs on iTunes (so how does that work when some of the top-20 are the songs from the Idolettes themselves?)

Maybe that is why they moved it back? Now they have to come up with a "New" plan and they need time to do it?

On the knoxville blog that said Josiah got a record deal, there was a posting saying Dolly would be on Idol April 1 & 2.
